Dia duit! I’m Claire, an artist, textile designer and alpaca farmer from the north coast of Ireland.

I’m inspired by the Irish landscape, folklore and tradition - as well as a wee touch of Andean magic from our alpaca kin - and it’s woven through the pieces I make. I have a BA in Textile Art, Design and Fashion from the University of Ulster, but I’ve been drawing since I was able to hold a pencil, and my art will always inspire the textiles I create.

My mother is a biologist, so nature and conservation has always been a big part of life. Now she runs a small-hold alpaca farm, set in the stunning landscape of the Causeway Coast and Glens. As I live nearby, I’m fortunate enough to help care for them and the ever growing menagerie of animals!
